New Richmond School Board election field narrowed
Four candidates will advance to the April 2 spring elections to fill two open seats on the New Richmond School Board.
A primary election was held in the school district yesterday (Tuesday, Feb. 19) to trim the field of five candidates to four.
The top four vote getters were to advance. The results were as follows (according to unofficial results):
Neal Melby 353 votes; Esther Scott Wentz 273 votes; Marty Wold 258 votes; and Gene Mireau 178 votes. Mark Struble came in fifth place in the balloting with 96 votes.
In the statewide primary to determine candidates for the Wisconsin State Supreme Court, incumbent justice Pat Roggensack was the top vote getter. She will face off with Ed Fallone, a Marquette University law professor, in April.
