The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has identified more than 1,200 acres that it would like to have hayed during the month of August on Waterfowl Production Areas on Polk, St. Croix and Dunn counties.

According to Chris Tosen, wildlife biologist with the St. Croix Wetland Management District, the application packets are currently available at the New Richmond U.S. Fish and Wildlife office at 1764 95th Street.

All applications are due at the local office by Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 3:30 p.m. The application packets are 36 pages.

Interested parties can pick up application packets or they can give Trosen a call and have an application packet sent to them by mail.
