Work on Hwy. 65 between NR and Star Prairie will continue until end of September
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has begun a resurface project on Hwy. 65 between New Richmond and Star Prairie.
Construction activities began the first week of August and will continue until Sept. 30. Hwy. 65 will be open at all times. Motorists can expect to be routed around the construction activity by flaggers.
Work activities on Hwy. 65, beginning at the New Richmond airport continuing north to the southern limits of the Village of Star Prairie, include culvert maintenance, asphalt milling, asphalt paving and replacing pavement markings and signing along the highway.
Work on Hwy. 65 within the Village of Star Prairie will begin the week of Aug. 22 and will include new curb and gutter, sidewalk curb ramps at the intersections, asphalt milling and new asphalt pavement.
Parking will be limited along Main Street/Hwy. 65 within the village from Aug. 22 to Mid-September.
Though Hwy. 65 will remain open during construction, motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling in work zones.
