Mistrial declared in Cherrier trial

Tiger girls top Prescott, claim share of conference title

The New Richmond girls' basketball team fended off the Prescott Cardinals in a 48-33 win on Thursday night in New Richmond. With the win, the Tigers finish off the regular season with a 20-2 record and a share of the Middle Border Conference title along with Baldwin-Woodville (13-1 in the conference). 

The Tigers received the No. 1 seed in Division 2 Sectional 1 and have a bye for the first round of the WIAA playoffs. New Richmond will play again next Friday in New Richmond against the winner of the No. 5/No. 4 matchup of Menomonie and Ashland, which will be played Tuesday in Ashland.
