Steven J. Wickenhauser, 58
Steven Jon Wickenhauser, age 58, of New Richmond, Wis., passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at his second home in Stanley, North Dakota.
He was born on September 19, 1958, in New Richmond, to Edward Lee Wickenhauser and Gayle Marie Wickenhauser (Barrett). Steve was raised in Stanton, a township in rural New Richmond, on a family dairy farm. Steve graduated from New Richmond High School in 1977. While in school, he met the love of his life, Cristy Rickard. In 1981, they were joined in marriage and founded Wickenhauser Farms, Inc. With 28 dairy cows, hard work, determination and God's grace, they grew the farm to 300 head. Steve and Cristy were blessed to raise three beautiful children. In 2004, Steve and Cristy sold the dairy cows and closed Wickenhauser Farms, Inc. In June of 2008, Steve, alongside his sons, founded Higher Power, LLC in Stanley, N.D., which specializes in power line construction and maintenance. Organization began in 2014, of WE Integrate, LLC and Higher Power Communications, LLC. Before God called him home, Steve enjoyed mountain snowmobiling, thinking outside the box, a family meal and the assembly of the Saints. Steve committed his life to the Lord and to his family. He was always willing to help anyone in anyway and dedicated his time to sharing God's good news. Steve will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee; mother, Gayle; and sister, Jane.
Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Cristy Wickenhauser of New Richmond; sons, Justin (Trish, Chase Ladwig, Bradley Ladwig) Wickenhauser of Stanley, N.D.; Joshua Wickenhauser of Powers Lake, N.D.; daughter, Jessica (Joseph, Dawson) Stock of Star Prairie, Wis.; brothers, Gregory Wickenhauser (Wanda Heffron, fianc) of Osceola, Wis., James (Brenda) Wickenhauser of New Richmond; sisters, Lori (Bruce) Bergstrom of Adams, Minn., and Kimberly (Mark) McGregor of New Richmond.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 23, at the Cullen Crea Funeral Home in New Richmond. Funeral service was held on Monday, July 24, at the Church of Christ in New Richmond. Interment was at the Oakland Cemetery in Star Prairie, Wis.
Memorial service will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, at the Church of Christ in Minot, North Dakota.
