New Richmond News and New Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce 2012 Citizen of the Year
On behalf of the New Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce and the New Richmond News, we are pleased to present the nominees for the 2012 New Richmond Citizen of the year.
Below you will find both the nominee's name along with the "reason" the person was nominated as written by the nominator(s). Please read each selection and then proceed to the drop-down list of choices to cast your ballot. Voting is officially open and will conclude at 3pm on Friday, November 16th. The 2012 Citizen of the year will be revealed and honored at the upcoming Business After Five at Brady's Brewhouse on Monday, December 3rd.
Please note, you may only vote for one nominee. Persons submitting more than one vote will only have their first vote counted which will be determined by the time stamp on the submission button for voting.

Jill Schreck, Edward Jones
Jill is involved in many community organizations and can often be found volunteering throughout the community.
Morrie Veilleux, NR School District
Has done many great things for this community.
Linda Skoglund, JA Counter
Linda had dedicated so much time and energy into the community and chamber. She has also encouraged her employees, as owner of the firm, to have an active employee base. She is involved in several organizations creating a stronger community with her caring approach to all she does.
Heather McAbee, Bremer Bank
Member of our business community through Bremer. Vice Chair of the NRAEDC Board. Chairman of the NRACF. Member of Westfields Hospital Board. Member of Rotary. Heather is an outstanding citizen that I think should be recognized as Citizen of the Year. She gives her time selflessly for the betterment of our community. Her leadership on the New Richmond Area Community Foundation has made a tremendous impact
John Soderberg, First National Community Bank
John's dedicated work to getting the Stillwater River Crossing completed. Along with all the other work that the FNCB does for the New Richmond Area Community and his work on the St. Croix River Crossing.
Jill Luken, JA Counter
She is always at every event and super helpful in the community. She has a AMAZING SMILE !!! and super hard worker !!!! I could right a book about all the amazing things she does for the community :)
Linda Aton, Aurora Community Services
Linda is an exceptional person who gives wholeheartedly and freely of herself to not only her employer but very much to her community. Linda takes an active role in doing what she can to support her home community of New Richmond.
Vernon Conrad, Volunteer
Vernon is well known as being New Richmond's #1 booster. For years, he's attended sporting events, supported various school and community functions, coordinated a new flag at Citizen's Field. He is worthy of such a "thank you" for his efforts.
Warren Bader, Retired
Mr. Bader served on the Richmond Town Board for 48 years, and has been involved in the area community in a variety of ways. He continues to man the town recycling center on Saturdays, helping keep materials out of the landfills.
Troy Boe, Century 21
Troy helped organize the Feed My Starving Children pack this year. He has also been involved with the Rotary Club in other efforts through the years. He and his wife also have a foundation that helps an orphanage in Africa. He's involved in much.
Irv and Mary Sather, Heritage Center
I know they are TWO people, but they have done alot for the history of our community. Really, really great people. They are amazing at telling the story of New Richmond and act like its not even a big deal taking care of the grounds.
