The kids in the New Richmond Golf Club youth program aren’t just getting instruction, they are also getting a chance to get out and play. Last Thursday was the first of four Thursdays when the kids get a chance to play nine holes of golf. Here a group of girls tees off on the first hole at The Links.

It was “gut check” weekend for the New Richmond Millers. The Millers faced games on Friday against Plum City and on Sunday against River Falls. Their only chance to remain a serious contender for the 2008 state playoffs was to sweep both games.

It’s been quite a spring for Tyler Weeks of New Richmond. He graduated from New Richmond High School in May. He made a huge advancement in the discus throw, helping the New Richmond boys track team win the Middle Border Conference track championship.
