Somerset football wins in overtime; New Richmond loses opener

The Somerset football team began its 2013 season with another heated battle against Bloomer.

New Richmond's football squad began its season with an inspired first half, but the Tigers couldn't finish off a win against River Falls.

Somerset's Alex Praschak scored the game-winner in overtime against Bloomer. Somerset led 14-7 at halftime, with Bloomer tying the score with a lengthy drive in the third quarter. Bloomer had a chance to win the game in the final seconds, but a 28-yard field goal attempt was just wide of the mark.
