New Richmond football will tackle cancer in Friday's game versus Amery

This week’s New Richmond football game will be “Tackle Cancer Friday” at the New Richmond football field.

The Tiger Football Boosters will host the “Coaches Versus Cancer” event at the football game. They will sell “Tackle Cancer” shirts at the game for $10. White and pink ribbons will be sold for $1. You can write the name of a survivor on a pink ribbon, or in memory of a victim of cancer on the white ribbon and tie them to the fence surrounding the field.

All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life for cancer research. The Relay For Life will have an informational table and activities from 5-7 p.m. before Friday’s game against Amery.

Sponsors for the event are Bobcats Bar and Grill, Brady's Brewhouse, J.A. Counter, Dan Olien Chiropractic, Moore Imprints, Kirk's Collision, New Richmond Youth Football Association and New Richmond Trailblazers Snowmobile Club.
