Emma Landry shoots 107 in opening round at WIAA state golf tournament

Like many of the girls playing in the WIAA 2015 State Girls Golf Championships, St. Croix Central's Emma Landry saw her round affected by the weather.

Landry shot a 107 in her opening round of the Division 2 state tournament on Monday at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.

Landry's score leaves her in 33rd place in the Division 2 tournament. She is scheduled to tee off at 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday in her second round of the tournament.

Central coach Chance Langeness said the round started with players in polo shirts and shorts. But early in the round the weather turned extreme, with wild winds making it tough for the girls on the already challenging course.
