Fun Fest softball tournament champions crowned

The 32nd annual Fun Fest softball tournament was held over the weekend, with NextGen Power Sports claiming first place in the Upper Division, Jerry's Nuggets taking first place in the middle division and Fusion Metal taking first place in the recreational division. A total of 37 teams took part in this year's tournament.

Upper division

After losing their first game of the Upper Division tournament on Friday, July 14, NextGen Power Sports went on a tear to make their way back from the losers bracket. They beat Cold Beer 15-4 in the fourth place game, Not Justa Cafe 12-4 in the third place game and beat MN Maniax 14-2 and 11-5 in the championship game. There were seven teams in the upper division at this year's tournament.

Middle division

Of the 15 teams that took part in the middle division tournament of the Fun Fest softball tournament, Jerry's Nuggets rose to the top to claim the first place title. After going undefeated until the first championship game, Jerry's fell to Premo Guys 17-4. However, Jerry's came right back and won the second game 13-9 to claim first place. Premo defeated Jensen Cattle 10-9 in the third place game, with Jensen Cattle defeating Daddy Mash 14-8 in the fourth place game.

Recreational division

The 15-team recreational division was won by Fusion Metal, who defeated Skoglund Oil 7-6 in the championship game. Skoglund defeated Borgen Lawn Service 17-16 in the third place game to move on to the championship game, while Borgen Lawn Service defeated Roy's Boys 15-3 in the fourth place game to move up to the third place game. This was the 32nd annual Fun Fest Tourney, and Roy's Boys has had a team in the tourney every year since it began in 1986.
