Zimmerman named to All-MIAC baseball team
St. John's University sophomore Hayden Zimmerman, of New Richmond, was one of five Johnnies named to the All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team on Monday.
Zimmerman set a school record with 75 innings pitched and five saves (tied school record) while posting an 8-3 record. He finished the season with a 4.56 ERA, 57 strikeouts and a .247 opponent batting average. In conference action, he tallied a 5-0 record with a 3.67 ERA, four saves and a .241 opponent batting average in 41.2 MIAC innings.
Zimmerman, who turns 20 on Monday, was named as the MIAC Pitcher of the Week in April after a win over Carlton College.
