Tiffany Olek of New Richmond and Kalli Armagost of St. Croix Central have been named to the 2013 Wisconsin Girls Hockey Coaches Association (WGHCA) All-State Team.

Armagost was a first team all-state selection for her work as the goaltender on the St. Croix Valley Fusion team. Olek was an honorable mention all-state defenseman for the New Richmond girls hockey team.

Armagost was honored after being named the Player of the Year for the Big Rivers Conference. She is a three-time All-BRC team selection. The Fusion is a co-operative team consisting of players from River Falls, Baldwin-Woodville, St. Croix Central, Glenwood City and Boyceville high schools.

Olek ranked among the Tigers' leading scorers this season. New Richmond coach Emily Dabrowski said coaches from several of the Tigers' opponents this season pushed for Olek to be included on the all-state team.

"They could see her effort and her drive. We weren't the only ones to see her devotion to the sport," Dabrowski said.
