Thursday's Results: New Richmond boys basketball, wrestlers roll

The New Richmond and Somerset sports programs both had two-win nights on Thursday.

The New Richmond boys basketball and wrestling teams both posted one-sided wins while Somerset saw wins from its wrestlers and boys hockey team.

The New Richmond boys basketball team used deadly outside shooting to breeze past Osceola, 83-51. Talon Seckora led the Tigers with 21 points and Ryan Kling scored 19 points. They both hit five three-pointers.

New Richmond's wrestlers jumped to an 18-0 lead with pins in the first three matches and the Tigers continued to roll in a 63-11 win at St. Croix Central on Thursday. 

Somerset's wrestlers also scored a Middle Border Conference win on Thursday. The Spartans won their home opener, defeating Prescott, 39-18.

The Somerset boys hockey team earned its second win of the season, defeating the Northwest Icemen, 4-1.
