MBC's success in football playoffs

The Middle Border Conference is one of the most successful football conferences in Wisconsin in terms of sustained success in reaching the upper levels of the WIAA playoffs.

In each of the past 17 years, the MBC has had a team advance to the state quarterfinals and in 15 of those 17 years, the MBC has been represented in the state semifinals. In eight of those years the MBC has been represented in the state title game. In five of those seasons, the MBC has had a team bring home a gold ball as the state champion.

The MBC won the past three Division 4 state championships. St. Croix Central is the defending Division 4 state champion. Osceola won the Division 4 state title in 2015 and Somerset won the Division 4 gold ball in 2014.

2010—Baldwin-Woodville defeated in Division 4 state semifinals

2009—Somerset defeated in Division 4 state semifinals

2008—Baldwin-Woodville defeated in Division 4 state semifinals

2007—Somerset defeated in Division 4 state semifinals

2006—Ellsworth defeated in Division 4 state quarterfinals

2005—Somerset defeated in Division 5 state title game

2004—Somerset defeated in Division 5 state title game

2003—Somerset defeated in Division 5 state quarterfinals

2002—Somerset wins Division 5 state title

2001—Durand defeated in Division 3 state semifinals

2000—Prescott (then a member of Dunn-St. Croix) defeated in Division 4 state title game
