Spartans fall to Osceola

The No. 4 seed Somerset girls soccer team was knocked out of the WIAA Division 3 Girls Soccer Tournament in the opening round after losing 3-1 to No. 5 seed Osceola on Thursday, June 5, in Somerset. 

Osceola took a 1-0 lead just over 10 minutes into the opening half and then followed up that goal with a second a little over half way through the half. Somerset struck first in the second half at the 52:38 mark to cut Osceola's lead in half, but Osceola scored less than a minute later to reclaim its two goal lead. 

With the win, Osceola moves on to face No. 1 seed Ashland on Saturday, June 7, in Ashland.
