A busy start to the week for area high school sports teams

Every local high school sports varsity team will be in action this Monday and Tuesday, with many of the sports teams seeing action multiple times early this week. 

Here is a rundown by school, the events for each day.

New Richmond - Monday

Tennis: New Richmond competes at the Eau Claire Division 1 subsectional, beginning at 9 a.m.

Track: New Richmond competes at the Superior Division 1 regional meet, beginning at 4 p.m.

Baseball: New Richmond competes at Somerset at 5 p.m. A Tiger win would give the Tigers the outright Middle Border Conference championship.

Softball: New Richmond competes at Somerset at 5 p.m.

Somerset - Monday

Baseball: Somerset hosts New Richmond at 5 p.m.

Softball: Somerset hosts New Richmond at 5 p.m.

Track: Somerset competes at the Osceola Division 2 regional meet at 4 p.m.

St. Croix Central - Monday

Track: Central competes at the Osceola Division 2 regional meet at 4 p.m.

Baseball: Central hosts Amery at 5 p.m.

New Richmond - Tuesday

Boys Golf: New Richmond hosts the WIAA Division 1 regional meet at the New Richmond Golf Club at 8:30 a.m.

Softball: New Richmond plays at Marshfield in the WIAA Division 1 regional tournament. (This game was originally scheduled for Wednesday).

Somerset - Tuesday

Boys Golf: Somerset plays at the WIAA Division 2 regional meet at Pheasant Hills Golf Club at 9 a.m.

Girls Soccer; Somerset plays at Amery at 4:30 p.m.

St. Croix Central - Tuesday

Boys Golf: Central plays at the WIAA Division 2 regional meet at Pheasant Hills Golf Club at 9 a.m.

Softball: Central plays at Neillsville in the WIAA Division 2 regional tournament.
