Wisconsin high school football teams begin 2017 season on Monday
For high school football players all around Wisconsin, summer is over.
All of the high school football teams around Wisconsin are scheduled to begin their seasons next Monday, the first day allowed by the WIAA to conduct practices.
Here is the season-opening information for each of the area football teams.
The Tigers will meet at 8 a.m. Monday for the issuance of equipment. They will meet again in the afternoon for the first practice of the season, which will run 3-8 p.m.
The Spartans are getting to work early next Monday, starting at 7 a.m. with a team meeting. That afternoon, they will take the field for the first time with a practice 4:30-8:30 p.m. For the following three days, the Spartans will hold workouts and meetings from 8-11 a.m., with practices 4:30-8:30 p.m. each day. They will finish the opening week with meetings and practice from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Friday.
St. Croix Central
The defending state champion Panthers begin the season Sunday with a parent meeting. The Panthers will meet for a team for the first time at 8 a.m. Monday. The team will practice for the rest of the week from 7:55-10:30 a.m.

Boys soccer: Aug. 14
Volleyball: Aug. 14
