Grants available for trails and parks
If you and your community are seeking ways to fund plans for trails, parks, green space, water space and conservation, plan to attend a discussion sponsored by the St. Croix Bike & Pedestrian Trails Coalition at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, in New Richmond.
Recreational grant opportunities available to local units of government and nonprofit conservation organizations through the Wisconsin DNR Stewardship program will be discussed by Beth Norquist and Karen Blodgett from the Wisconsin DNR.
Both have extensive experience with grant programs and will provide details about the entire application process. Bring along any questions you may have.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. with presentation by speakers at 7 p.m. in the New New Richmond Civic Center, 156 East First Street, one block east of Knowles Ave/Hwy 65 (the main street in New Richmond). Please enter through the door facing the fire station
Community leaders, elected and appointed county and local government officials, county and local government employees, park and trail enthusiasts and all interested persons are encouraged to attend.
