Somerset junior Anya Swanson (205) reached fourth place during the second half of the Division 2 state meet, but hit the wall in the final 300 yards, where she dropped back to 27th, but somehow was able to complete the race.

St. Croix Central’s Olivia Moll (1207) looked strong and confident throughout the sectional race. She went out with the leaders and stayed there, placing third.
