The board, in its Monday, June 24, regular meeting, voted to approve a job description and classified ad for the position. The board discussed combining the administrator position with the now-open clerk's position at its June 10 meeting. The administrator/clerk would act as a liaison between village personnel and the board, oversee the department heads and all contracted labor positions, and carry out directives given by the village board.

"It's been a huge learning experience, but every day is an adventure, that's for sure." Sullivan and Doughty started off their adventure in Sagamore Beach, Mass., at Doughty's parents' house.

When VFW Post 10818 was named the top post in Wisconsin last year, Commander Dave Green said some people told him the service agency got lucky. But now that the organization has won the All State Team designation for the second year in a row, Green said the naysayers were proven wrong. "I was pretty excited," Green said of the honor that was announced June 14 at the state VFW Convention in Green Bay. "It was my ultimate goal to do this two years in a row, and we did it. It's one heck of an honor."
