Margaret "Margie" Michels, age 60, of St. Paul, died suddenly Wednesday, Dec. 9, in St. Paul. Margie is the daughter of Glenn and Elphie Larson of Baldwin. A time to reflect and celebrate the life of Margaret "Margie" Michels will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin. Burial will follow at the Woodside Cemetery in Baldwin. Memorials are preferred.
Jeanette Hodapp, 91 August 25, 1918 - Dec. 7, 2009 Jeanette Elizabeth Hodapp (nee Bauman), age 91, of Somerset, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Jeanette was born the daughter of William and Ida Bauman on August 25, 1918, in St. Paul, Minn. She was married to Arthur H. Plaster on Feb. 5, 1938. They had six children, Janice, William, Terry, Mary, Georgia, and Michael. They later divorced. In 1954, Jeanette was married to Archie Moody Sr. They had one son, Archie Jr. They later divorced. Jeanette was baptized in St.
Judi Schmitt, age 62, of North Hudson, died suddenly Friday, Dec. 4, at the Hudson Hospital emergency room following an apparent heart attack. Mass Of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hudson. Burial will be in the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday with a prayer service at 8 p.m. at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson and one hour prior to the mass at church on Wednesday. Memorials preferred.
Bill E. Anderson Jr., 66 March 2, 1943 - Dec. 4, 2009 Bill E. Anderson Jr., age 66, of New Richmond, formerly of Minneapolis, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009. He was born the son of Anna Marie (O'Heron) and William Anderson, Sr. on March 2, 1943, in Minneapolis, Minn. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was known as a "family guy" and loved being with his grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Anderson, Sr. and Anna Marie Ash; wife, Vicki Anderson; son, Ronald Anderson; brother, Jack Anderson; and step-father, Mike Ash.
Richard "Rick" Walton Jr., age 50, of Baldwin, died accidentally on his farm on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hwy 63 at County Road N, Baldwin. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at church, and also from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday evening, Dec. 9, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the discretion of the family, or to the donor's choice. Services have been entrusted to the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin, 715-684-3434.
Veronica "Bonnie" Kusilek, age 74, of Baldwin, died peacefully Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at the Baldwin Care Center. Bonnie was born Nov. 10, 1935, in Troy Township, the daughter of Edwin and Mabel (Cernohous) Rohl. She attended Pierce Valley Country School prior to graduating from Prescott High School in the class of '53. On June 15, 1954, Bonnie was united in marriage to Jerome Lubich. To this union, children Susan and Peggy were born. Jerome was tragically killed in a farm accident on April 27, 1956. Bonnie married Gerald Kusilek at St.
Sept. 24, 1947 - Nov. 30, 2009 Warren E. Lee, 62, of Somerset, Wis., died Nov. 30, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, Harry and Elaine; sister, April; brother, Leighton. Survived by wife, Karole; children, Christopher (Elizabeth), Carrie Lee (Benjamin Loesel); grandchildren, Nathaniel and Ian; siblings, Mary Ann (Ray), Susan, Harry Jr., Marla (Gaylen) and Madeline (Clinton); many nieces and nephews. He was a hospital corpsman of the Vietnam War and was associated with the DAV, VFW and the American Legion. Service 11 a.m. Friday Dec.
Harold "Ocky" Ammerman, age 71, of Somerset, died peacefully at his home in the early morning of Dec. 1, 2009, under the care of Lakeview Hospice. He was born the son of Don P. and Helen E. (Conrad) Ammerman on Jan. 16, 1938, in Eau Claire, Wis. He graduated from La Crosse High School and went on to further his education at UW La Crosse, UW Stevens Point and St. Mary's in Winona, Minn., eventually earning his master's degree. He taught biology and other sciences in the Somerset schools for 28 years, retiring in 1993.
Hazel B. Miller, 95, of New Richmond and formerly of Holcombe, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Westfields Hospital in New Richmond. Hazel was born in Indiana, the daughter of Hazen and Carrie (Wilson) Miller, and moved to the Holcombe area as a young child. She resided in the Holcombe area until 1973 and then moved to New Richmond, where she resided with her sister until becoming a resident of the Gables Care Center in 1999. Hazel's hobbies included embroidery and making quilts and pillowcases.
Margaret Louise Carlson, "Louise", Neenah, Wis., age 74, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, after a two year stay at Greenville Manor. She was born on March 22, 1935, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Erik Hilding and Iri Margreta (Alvine) Peterson. On Sept. 8, 1956, she married Philip Willard Carlson in Mount Prospect, Ill.. Their union was blessed with three children and 51 years before Philip preceded her in death on Christmas Day, 2007. Louise was a long-time member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Neenah, where she also worked as a bookkeeper for many years.
