The Finale Carnival was an amazing success! I want to say a big thank you to all of the families that came out to celebrate the summer reading program. The weather was perfect and the activities were enjoyed by everyone. It was one of those events that went down in the books as, "how do we top that?" Well, at least we have nine months to see what we can come up with for next summer.

We are excited to report we had over 600 participants in the summer reading again this year, ages toddler to adult. The reading total hours for those who turned in their minutes totaled 5,746. Prizes have been drawn and winners are being called. We will continue to do tickets the rest of August, so if you didn't win anything yet, you still have a chance.

Teen Movie Marathon: 4-11:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11. This year the movies will be DC related — Batman vs. Superman, etc. Pizza and snacks will be provided. Please register your student (12-18 years old) and fill out the parent permission slip for Brittany. Students will not be allowed to join the event without it.
