City of New Richmond, WI
NOTICE OF PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT MEETING #3
KNOWLES AVENUE CORRIDOR STUDY
(STH 64/NORTH SHORE DRIVE RICHMOND WAY)
The City of New Richmond is in the final stages of a comprehensive traffic and accessibility study along the Knowles Avenue corridor, between North Shore Drive and Richmond Way. The Knowles Avenue corridor is an approximately 2.4 mile stretch that runs North/South, serving as the City's main access for commercial, civic, and cultural activities.
The corridor study included a review and analysis of intersections, access, pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, and safety. Public engagement has been a critical component of the development and direction of the corridor study.
The third and final public involvement meeting (PIM) for the Knowles Avenue corridor study will take place on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Glover Park, East 1st Street, New Richmond, WI 54017. This meeting will be held in conjunction with the Library Building Project kick-off meeting. Stop by and learn about these two community projects! Based on the feedback obtained at this final PIM, a final recommended alternative will be determined for the study.
Representatives from the City and the engineering consulting firm of MSA Professional Services, Inc. will be available to explain exhibits and answer questions on the study.
Wheelchair accessibility is available at this meeting site. Attendees who have hearing impairment may request an interpreter at the meeting by contacting Jeremiah Wendt, City of New Richmond's Director of Public Works, at (715) 243-0439 prior to Thursday, June 13, 2019. Questions concerning the meeting should also be directed to Jeremiah Wendt.
