Trigger Happy wraps up Hillside Series

Trigger Happy

The final concert of the Heritage Hillside Series is slated for next week on Wednesday, Aug. 21. Local favorite, Trigger Happy, will close out the annual community series with country music.

This music group has been playing together for more than 30 years. They play a variety of instruments playing traditional and contemporary country, along with some favorite pop oldies, dance songs and polkas. They've played for local celebrations, county fairs and local theater shows. Members of Trigger Happy have backed a variety of traditional country recording artists.

Trigger Happy members have written and recorded their own music in local studios. They have a recent CD called "Purt Near 30 Years." Members are Mike Murtha of Hammond, Ed Schmidt of Balsam Lake, Scott Nash of Somerset and Karl Ausland, Hammond. Special guest will be female vocalist Gae Magnifici.

The music starts at 6:30 p.m., but plan to come early.

Bring along a picnic supper, a picnic blanket or lawn chairs and get ready to dance a little, sing along, or just sit back and enjoy the music.

The evening's sponsor is Bremer Bank. Messes & Masterpieces will offer an art project for the kids,and there will be pop and popcorn available for sale.
