Accident update: Two injured in two-vehicle accident in Deer Park

Update on April 27 ... Keith M. Swanson, 29, Dresser was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado truck heading eastbound on 200th Avenue when he failed to yield and was struck by a 2009 Hyundai Sonata driven by Candace Specht-Oman, 59, Amery, who was northbound on Hwy. T. Keith was treated at the scene. Candace was transported to Westfields with a leg injury.

Swanson told deputies Candace's vehicle was in his blind spot. Neither of the vehicles had passengers and Swanson was cited for failure to yield.

Two vehicles, a Hyundi Sonata and a Chevrolet pickup truck, collided Tuesday, April 19, about 6:15 p.m., at the intersection of County Hwy. T and 200th Avenue in the Town of Deer Park.

The occupants of the vehicles were treated by rescue and ambulance personnel on scene and weren't immediately transported for care elsewhere. It is unclear as to the extent of the injuries, but they appeared to be non-life threatening.

Fire and rescue personnel from New Richmond and Deer Park, as well as sheriff's deputies from the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department responded to the call.
