The New Richmond Fine Arts Council is accepting applications for student summer camp scholarships. Students currently in grades 8-11 can apply at nrfac.org. Past scholarship recipients attended several camps at the Shell Lake Arts Center, Dorian Luther College Camp, and UW-Madison Summer Music Clinic.

The deadline for summer camp applications is May 10, 2019. Any student who is accepted into Middle Level or High School State Honors Choir, Band, or Orchestra can also apply. The Middle Level Scholarship deadline is June 30, 2019 while the High School deadline is May 10, 2019.

NRFAC is a non-profit organization made up of dedicated individuals who collect and distribute funds to support cultural arts in New Richmond. Since 1959, the organization has provided scholarships to students who attend music, art, theater, and dance camps. NRFAC has recently helped finance school field trips for students to attend Minnesota Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis Children's Theater, and the Ordway theater. Funds were also awarded to help sponsor part of the New Richmond Community Chorus and The Kids from Wisconsin student outreach.

Amounts awarded are determined by available funds from memberships and donations. On April 30, NRFAC is participating in 24 hours of nonprofit giving during giveBIG St. Croix Valley. It's the community's biggest-ever day of giving, and it's your chance to make a real impact. All you have to do is commit to donating to NRFAC on April 30 to make more funds available for summer camp and State Honors Workshop scholarships.
