Needham seeking re-election in St. Croix County
A three-term St. Croix County judge announced he is seeking re-election.
Circuit Court Judge Scott Needham is seeking his fourth term to the bench in 2018. In addition to serving as a sitting judge in St. Croix County, Needham also serves as chief judge of the 10th Judicial District and served from 2016-17 as chairman of the Committee of Chief Judges.
Needham, a New Richmond resident, noted in a news release that his ruling in the Murr vs. St. Croix County and state of Wisconsin case was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court — the first Wisconsin case to go before the high court in nearly four decades.
The news release notes Needham was named 2010 trial judge of the year by the American Board of Trial Advocates and serves on the domestic violence-related STOP Grant Committee and on the statewide Child Welfare Committee.
Wisconsin judges are elected to six-year terms in nonpartisan elections.
