The City of New Richmond will host two public open houses on the evening of Monday, Feb. 12, at the City of New Richmond Civic Center (156 E. First St.)
The first open house which will be from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and will focus on safety concerns and future bicyclist and pedestrian accommodations along the County Road A corridor between West Richmond Way and Somerset Road. Residents who live near County Road A are especially encouraged to attend to provide feedback about possible short-term and long-term safety improvements in this area.
The second open house, co-hosted by the City of New Richmond and the Town of Richmond, will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The purpose of this open house is to get feedback on the proposed design for the 2018 reconstruction of 125th Street, which may also include a mowed nature trail along the Paperjack Creek.
Brief presentations will be given at the start of each open house. City staff, town officials, and representatives from the engineering company Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. will remain available throughout the evening for individual conversations. Citizens are welcome to come and leave at any time during each open house.
