City of New Richmond to hold public open house to discuss Freedom Park
The City of New Richmond will host an open house 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 at the Civic Center (156 E. First St.) to discuss the development of Freedom Park.
A short presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by an opportunity to give feedback. The open house is an opportunity for the community to review the original plan for Freedom Park, give feedback on whether the original plan fits current and future needs, and help identify priorities for future development at the park. In the past year, community members have expressed interest in pursuing several different projects at Freedom Park, including an accessible playground, Frisbee golf course, permanent restrooms, Freedom Center, and more. Feedback from the open house will help provide further direction for Freedom Park as a whole and better understand how some of these proposed projects might best fit and function together.
