Star Prairie Village Board tends to spring housekeeping

Village of Star Prairie Board of Trustees tended to a little housekeeping at their meeting Wednesday, March 7.

New Clerk-Treasurer hire Tricia Maus completed her 90-day probationary period and became eligible to receive benefits March 11. Maus will be headed to her first training conference, the Workhorse Customer Conference in Wausau, April 13, 2018.

New Village Maintenance Operator hire Nathan Licht will be attending WRWA Water Systems Operations Basics — Regulations and Groundwater Resources classes April 23-26. A contingency of his hiring includes passing the Distribution and Groundwater exam May 2, 2018.

As part of reconciling 2017 year-end finances, the trustees designated the unspent $71,693.27 Bremer Bank North Area Sewer Bond Debt as of Dec. 31, 2017 to be paid out, $56,020.04 toward principal on March 8, 2018 and the remaining $15,673.23 principal and interest on the annual due date, Oct. 31,2018.

Trustees designated Saturday, May 19, 2018 for the Spring clean-up.

Trustees also scheduled Open Book for Wednesday, May 2, from 3-5 p.m. and Board of Review for Wednesday, May 9, from 6-8 p.m.

Due to the April 3 General election, the April board meeting has been moved to Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
