City to host public open house at Cherokee Park
The City of New Richmond will host a public open house on Wednesday, May 23, from 5-6 p.m. to discuss possible improvements to Cherokee Park. City staff will have a small tent and table set up in the park near the intersection of East River Drive and Summit Road.
The park board and city staff would like residents' input about the types of passive or active recreational amenities they would like to see in the future at Cherokee Park. The feedback gathered at this meeting will help the park board learn whether there's interest in the neighborhood to have additional amenities at the park, and if so, to develop funding priorities for 2018 and in the future. While the open house is open to the public, residents who live near Cherokee Park are especially encouraged to attend. Residents are welcome to come and leave at any time during the event. Free root beer floats will be provided.
If you have questions about the open house, or if you are unable to attend but would still like to share some of your ideas, please contact Michael Mroz, Public Works Operations Manager, at 715-246-4268 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
