September students of the month announced at SMS

Julia Salmon consistently demonstrates the qualities needed to be a highly successful student. Julia is a role model and leader among her peers. She comes to school every day with a positive attitude, which she shares with everyone. Julia is always ready to take on the day with a smile on her face. She is someone who can always be trusted to do the right thing. Julia cares for our school and everyone in this building. She is an excellent student, and an asset to Somerset Middle School.

Lucy Nichols participates in class discussions and encourages others to do their best as well. Her thoughtful comments add much to class discussions. Lucy cares about her school work and does top quality work every day on every assignment. Lucy is an asset to her class and to Somerset Middle School.

Broden Thiel is hard-working, responsible, and kind. He is thoughtful and respectful toward his classmates and teachers. Broden puts forth his best amount of effort not only on his daily assignments, but also in his interactions with others. Broden is a fantastic student and an asset to the fifth grade class.

Ellie Melvin's enthusiasm for school is contagious. There are many students at Somerset Middle School who come to school each day happy and excited to learn. Of the hundreds of students, one student best represents the value enthusiasm has in our schools. Ellie Melvin arrives each day with a smile and a positive attitude. Mr. Barta stated, "Ellie is a strong leader and is well prepared for the challenges of sixth grade."

Kendra Anez demonstrates consistent success as a learner. Kendra works hard to do her best day in and day out. Mr. Praschak commented, "It has been a great pleasure to have Kendra in my classroom. There is no doubt that she will continue to experience success in all classes this year."

Finn Davies demonstrates several positive character traits. Most notable are trustworthiness, respect, and responsibility. Finn will continue to have success in school because he values his education and treats others with respect. "Finn is an extremely responsible student in my class," expressed Mrs. Cardell.

Claire Anderson comes to school everyday with a smile on her face that lights up the room and brings joy to others. She does a great job having fun in class but at the same time works hard to learn and help others learn. She asks terrific questions and always pushes herself to put full effort into doing her absolute best. Claire is a true role model for other students!

Max Pellitier displays the character traits of a Top 20 student. Max communicates to others that they matter by being respectful, friendly, and helpful. Max is a great classmate to all of his seventh grade classmates. Max is excelling as a student. He participates each day and attempts to do his best on all assigned work and tests. We are lucky to have Max here at SMS!

Makayla Matiski is an exceptional student. She spends time on learning extensions, including technology use and creative ideas. She also shares her enthusiasm during class through participation and during projects.

Parker Gebheim has a very helpful and friendly personality. He is a very dedicated and hardworking student. Parker is also a very honest student who knows right from wrong. He shows he is responsible by doing his school work to the best of his ability. He is dedicated to making the right choices about behavior and attitude.

Megan Larse is such an amazing young lady to have in class. Megan has a wonderful aptitude for being precise and conscientious in the classroom while setting a keen example of what a Student of the Month looks like. Her kindness to her peers is a quality that is sought after and will serve her well in her future academics.

Elias Jeska is consistently working hard to make sure he is successful and learning in the classroom, he goes out of his way to assist classmates to be successful during learning experiences. He is willing to share ideas with the class and offer explanations for students who may be having a difficult time. Elias has a very positive attitude! He is respectful and kind not only to his friends but all those around him.
