Tuesday's Results: Tiger girls hoops, boys hockey register wins

In action on Tuesday, the New Richmond girls basketball and boys hockey teams were able to register wins, but the Tiger boys basketball team suffered a defeat.

New Richmond's girls basketball went to Ellsworth and won a tense 66-63 decision over the Panthers. Senior Lorin Bauer led the Tigers with 20 points.

New Richmond's boys hockey team had no problems with Amery, skating to a 10-3 victory.

The Tiger boys basketball team went to Prescott, hoping to end the Cardinals' 46-game win streak. It didn't happen, with Prescott winning 89-63.

Both Somerset basketball teams came out on the losing side in games on Tuesday. The Spartan boys misplaced their offense early in Tuesday's game at Osceola and couldn't find it again, losing to the Chieftains 34-24. The Spartan girls lost a non-conference game at St. Croix Falls, 53-36.

The St. Croix Central boys basketball team suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday, dropping a 63-55 decision to Ellsworth.
