During its Monday, March 18, school board meeting, the New Richmond Board of Education discussed several topics, including changes to the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school calendars and the next phases of Tiger Stadium.

According to District Administrator Patrick Olson, the board approved officially making March 18 a full student day on the 2018-2019 calendar, while they tabled approving changes to the 2019-2020 calendar until the April 8 work session.

"The changes to the 2019-20 calendar were tabled as we found out late Monday some additional information about ACT testing," Olson said.

With work on Tiger Stadium coming along, the board discussed the final decision for field markings for the stadium turf.

"Please note the orientation of the Tiger will face the opposite way. This is due to the bleachers and press box being placed on the west side of the track," Olson said. "We also briefly discussed Phase 3 and we are working with ATS&R on the design/placement of these items which include: bleachers, gate/ticket house, concession stand, press box and technology and sound."
