It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Sutliff announces his passing on May 12, 2018 at the age of 78. Donald was born the eldest son of Chester "Tim" and Irene (Moe) on March 6, 1940 in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
He proudly served four years in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. So he could enjoy his many outdoor activities, he moved to Cable, WI. He was a sportsman and avid fly fisherman, active in Trout Unlimited and the Veterans Administration. He enjoyed woodworking and honed his skills building boats. Donald was a small town man with a big town heart. His last thoughts were of how he could enrich others' lives. His beautiful drift boats were donated to a veterans healing program in Wisconsin.
He is survived by his siblings, Nancy Frederiksen, John (Rox) Sutliff and Patty (Paul) Gaspord; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Tim and Irene (Moe); his sisters, Virginia Lotz and Jean Olsen; and his brother, Bobby.
He will be laid to rest with a private service with full military honors at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
