Betty Josephine (Linden) Milius was born on November 19, 1923 to Clarence John Linden and Mildred Anna Marie (Brandt) Linden in Clear Lake, Wisconsin. She married Melvin Edward Milius on October 11, 1941. They moved to the Milius family home in the New Richmond Wisconsin Area. They built a home on the Willow River and did farming raising turkeys (3000 each year for Norbest) and cattle. Betty was well known for cooking and baking. Every Thursday when we came home from school or work there would be several loaves of freshly baked bread, cinnamon rolls, and pecan rolls cooling on the counter. The aroma coming from the kitchen was so enticing one could not help sampling. For 25+ years she and Mel hosted the Annual 3-day Memorial Day campout at their home. Between 1942 and 1956 Betty and Mel had three daughters:-Carlene Ann, KKathryn Mary, and Patricia Lee. Deborah Jane was born in 1960 in California. Mel's parents, as well as his sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Fred Lawrence, had moved to Southern California to get away for the frigid Wisconsin winters. In 1956 Betty and Mel sold their farm and moved the family to California settling in La Crescenta. Betty's husband, Mel, worked in several auto body shops eventually owning Gene's Paint and Body Shop in Glendale. Betty worked in the office as well as picking up parts for Mel in the Los Angeles County area. Betty was involved in the Youth Group at The Lutheran Church in the Foothills. She was a regular cook for the Wednesday Night Youth Group Dinners.She is survived by Daughters: Carlene Rechenmacher (Rhett), KKathryn Stephens (Buddy) and Sisters: Beverly Mitchell and Jerry Albrecht, Grandchildren: Jennifer Kenyon-Stephens, Scott Stephens (Annie), Brent Frame (Monica), Brian Frame (Suzanne) and Kelsey Frame and 6 Great-grandchildren: Michael, Conner, Leah, Adam, Gavin, Parker, Brooke & Logan.She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Edward Milius, two daughters, Deborah Jane Milius and Patricia Lee Frame, parents Clarence John Linden and Mildred Anna Marie (Brandt) Linden, sister, Lucinda Klawitter, Brother-In-Law Henry A. Klawitter and brother, Leon Linden. Her sister Beverly Mitchell died the day following Betty's death.
