Emma Landry makes major improvement in second day of WIAA state golf tournament

It was Emma Landry's goal to improve on every hole of the second round of the WIAA Division 2 State Golf Championships on Tuesday.

She did just that. Landry shot 90, improving her score by 17 strokes from the score she recorded in the opening round of the state tournament on Monday. The tournament was played at University Ridge Golf Club in Madison.

Landry's 17-stroke improvement was the biggest advancement by any girl in the Division 2 state tournament field from Monday to Tuesday.

Landry finished the state tournament with a two-day score of 197. Her strong finish Tuesday moved her up to 30th in the final individual results.
