Gaelin Elmore making football recruiting trip to Arizona

Gaelin Elmore (87) is shown in action for the University of Minnesota Gophers football team.

Former Somerset football standout Gaelin Elmore is scheduled to make a recruiting trip to the University of Arizona on Friday.

Elmore has played three years collegiately as a defensive end at the University of Minnesota. Because he was already graduated, he is no longer bound to play for the Gophers. Elmore has given indications that he will not be returning to the University of Minnesota.

He can now look around for a school to attend for graduate school, similar to what Russell Wilson did at the University of Wisconsin. A student is allowed five college visits by the NCAA in looking for a graduate school and Arizona will be Elmore's first official visit.

He does not have a timeline set for deciding upon a new school.
