Eleven New Richmond Tiger Sharks swim at state meet

The New Richmond Area Tiger Sharks swim team ended its swim season by sending eleven swimmers to compete at Minnesota state swim finals.

Thomas Tenner competed March 9-11 in the Senior State Championships at the University of Minnesota. His individual events included short distance freestyle in the 50-yard Free, 100-yard Free, and 200-yard Free.

The other swimmers will compete March 15-18 in Rochester, MN at the Age 14 and Under State Swim Championships.

Brady Bennett, 13, swam a full slate of seven individual events including short distance freestyle, butterfly, and IM events. Owen Covey, age 8, and Josh Falkenhagen, age 12, are each swimming three individual events. Sarah Sylte, age 13, is swimming her two short distance freestyles in the 50 and 100. Jack Falkenhagen, age 14, will compete in the 50-yard freestyle.

The Tiger Sharks will also be represented in Rochester by two relay teams. Each team will compete in the 200-yard Free and the 400-yard Free. Age 14 and under relay team members are Brady Bennett, Jack Falkenhagen, Tanner Olson, and Max Emerson. Age 12 and under relay team members are Josh Falkenhagen, Josh Boyd, Mitchell Covey, and Caleb Schreiber.
