Williams receives all-state honor

Girls hockey coaches from around the state recognized that the Western Wisconsin Stars have a special player in Jade Williams.
Williams received honorable mention status last week when the Wisconsin Girls Hockey Coaches Association All-State honors were announced.
Williams ranked among the top 15 goal scorers in Wisconsin girls hockey this winter. The New Richmond High School junior led the Stars with 24 goals. The next highest goal total came from her sister, Bailey, a defenseman who finished with nine goals. Jade has led the Stars with 33 points each of the past two seasons.
What makes Jade special? Speed and determination lead the list. Williams has the speed to blaze past many defenders. And she has the willingness to make strong drives to the front of the net.
