A New Richmond man appeared in St. Croix County Circuit Court last week on allegations that he fired off live rounds from his motorcycle, the bullets from which flew over the head of a man soaking in his hot tub. Jason P. Schladweiler, 41, was charged with one count of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, a felony. He was also charged with two misdemeanors -- criminal property damage and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
Synthetic marijuana and cash were the apparent targets in an armed robbery involving three males last week in New Richmond, according to St. Croix County prosecutors. Police arrested a Minnesota man and a 16-year-old boy in connection with the incident, which was reported at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, outside a 651 Monette Ave. apartment complex.

A man allegedly bent on taking his own life by slamming into oncoming traffic was arrested last week after a high-speed pursuit through Pierce County. Robert N.
